If you are interested in a very serious shake table for quantitative work, the one described below from Quanser should be considered. See, for example, their Shake Table I or Shake Table II. Quanser has also posted extensive notes on the use of their Shake Table I. Due to the cost and elaborate computer setup needed to run one of these tables, they are well suited to college engineering courses.
