This demonstration is aimed at showing how sensitive the AS1 instrument is to the slightest motion, even when the motion is not visible to the eye.

A plastic card is placed between the magnet and the coil to prevent any large motions.  A dowel rests on the boom and extends through a hole in the top of the case.  A wire attached to the dowel makes it easy to add a small amount of weight to the top of the dowel.
